My darling lady, Nike had her first little black girl at 6:33pm
PST. If you want to see pictures of Nike and her husband,
just e-mail me privately. They each have over 8 health
certifications (although we want to do the MSU thyroid as
suggested by Kathryn Foran instead of just the regular thyroid
test at the vet's).
Been waiting by her side all day. Kirk just arrived in
time and said "Allright!" So, that's the
newborn's name. He just took her picture with the new
Nikon 990 (Coolpix) and the new flash attachment.
The other dogs are sniffing at the door. I'll keep you
posted. Nike's sister, Norma Jean, is due in 10 days bred
to the
same brown sire, Ch La Marka Teller Mufasa Myarka . .
. . . hey (!) here is the second one . .. Kirk got a picture
coming out of the sac . . . it's a boy! "Andy"
(something to due with Panda they had on TV at Wash Zoo and
Kirk says Ahh, Andy the Panda!) . . . Well, not AHH,
"Andy" born at 7:53pm a very easy birth.
Female, "Airy" arrived at 7:10 pm -
Jim Lehrer is reporting about the airline buyouts. She is
noisy and very beautiful! Now, it's 7:30 and here's
"Alex, " the longest necked kid ever! Kirk got
his picture taking
his first drink. Not to be confused with Alright that has
a spot painted on her head, Alex had some milk squirt onto
his head for the picture.
7:50, here's "Athens", male . . . named so
because we thought of God (?) can't figure our names sometimes,
but that's what came to mind . . . 8:30, female, At-a-Girl,
perfect birth and at 8:40, male, "Aquarius"
cause he was moving his legs like he was swimming . . we think
he wants to be an Aquarian! Very handsome guy . . . a bit
noisy.
Kirk has gotten a picture of each puppy and just got back with
dinner from across the street for me . . grilled salmon . .
he told the manager there, "we're having puppies!"
the manager replied, 'And that makes you hungry?" I
laughed . . .YES! I have been by her watching
today and just had some soup . . . Aquarius is calling me,
I think he wondered away from the ninny.
I think that's it, I just stood her up and examined her
closely (hadn't done that massage down the sides earlier) . . .
all the puppies are squirming and nursing and mamma is licking.
I'm going to climb in there and make certain all are getting a
ninny. I have thawed some turkey necks for a poodle
celebration . . . and Nike needs a warm cloth rub down.
Kirk just flopped on the sofa with a sigh and said, "Whew,
that really takes it out of you!" What? All he
did was take pictures and run for our food . . he
gets so excited about each birth . . they are so precious.
Guess I was pretty excited too, I only ate part of my
meal.
Good girl Nike!
